Super DAC from CAD

We are delighted to have met Scott and Isabel from Computer Audio Design whose DAC has been on our radar for some time now. We quickly came to the conclusion after a day spent talking with them, and listening to their products, that their 1543 DAC is probably the most natural and 'undigital' DAC that we have ever heard!

The CAD 1543 sounds fantastic with the Innuos servers or an Auralic Aries, as well as with any well-sorted PC. There is no sense of artifice or glare, background noise barely exists and there is an insight into subtle details that other DACs just seem to brush over. Obviously this sort of quality doesn't come cheaply at £8,500, but if computer audio is your thing, it doesn't come much better than this... at any price.
