The Ruby Ball -The Halle, St Ann’s Hospice and Doug Brady Hi-Fi celebrate the 40thAnniversary of St Ann’s Hospice.

Friday 25th November at The Point, Lancashire Country Cricket Club proved to be a great success as The Ruby Ball a joint event between the Halle and St Ann’s Hospice raised in excess of £30K on the evening.Doug Brady HiFi at The Point in Manchester

St Ann’s Hospice celebrating its 40th anniversary opened one of the first purpose built hospices in the UK in 1971 and they have been providing free care to families across Manchester since then.

The Charles Halle Foundation has a long tradition of taking music out in to the community with over sixty projects a year reaching 35,000 children and young people.

The Halle has been involved in ground breaking work with those with special needs, young offenders and the very young.Halle Table

Set in the glamorous surroundings of ‘The Point’ 400 guests enjoyed a fabulous evening with music from the exceptional Halle and Halle Rock musicians.

Doug Brady Hi-Fi was proud to support the event along with the renowned British manufacturer Chord Electronics.

The much awaited Chord Chordette Index, Chords new streaming piece of kit was launched and presented to all of the ball attendees and businesses sponsoring the event. As the event was in aid of raising money for both of the charities Doug Brady HiFi and Chord donated a new Index as the main headline prize.Music before the giving of the Chord Index by Doug Brady HiFi

Charles Clowes presented Robert Unsworth from the private banking group Brown Shipley with the prize who was very keen to learn more about the Chordette Index’s usability and functionality.
