System Optimisation

No matter how good your hifi system is, each component will be affected by electrical, structural, mechanical or airbourne vibration. The better the system components, the more obvious the effects of these vibrations appear.

To reduce the effects of mechanical vibration (from, for example, a CD or DVD drive), we offer a range of isolation devices that can dramatically improve the clarity and resolution of your hifi system. From the simple, but highly effective, Music Works mini-isolator to the more elaborate PAB platforms, these devices offer an an audible reduction in unwanted resonance.

The mains is also a source of noise that can have a destructive effect on the performance of your hifi system. The Music Works Reflex mains blocks improve clarity, timing and focus of any hifi system, and the better the system, the more the benefits can be heard.

Something that is often overlooked in turntable design is the interaction between the stylus, the record and platter. When playing a record, the stylus accelerates at up to 20,000g! The vibration this generates is reflected from the bottom of the record and is then picked up by the stylus and reproduced as a colouration. The Funk Achromat solves this problem by absorbing this energy and, due to the millions of bubbles within, loses it as heat.
