The Sonos Play:5 is five speakers and five digital amplifiers in one powerhouse unit which will stream and play all your music from any room wirelessly when connected to a SONOS BRIDGE (WIFI) or directly to (hard wired) to your wireless router.
The Sonos Play:5 only needs power from a mains connection (power cord supplied). You need to make sure that you either have a SONOS BRIDGE or connect directly to your wireless router (ethernet cable supplied). The Sonos Bridge is connected to your router and will send out a signal to your PLAY:5 and it is as simple as that to set up.
You can start with one Sonos Play:5 and expand throughout your home with more Play:5s wirelessly. Sonos gives you the ability to play different songs in each room or play the same song in every room. You can have two Play:5s in the same room to create a stereo effect, with a left and a right channel speaker just select the stereo pair setting.
To control the Play:5 just down load a FREE APP for your Android, iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
